WASHINGTON, DC DUPLEX DEVELOPMENT
ROW HOME REVAMP
MPR Architecture was retained by Urban Edge Development to create a two-unit condominium in an existing one-story brick row home. This project looked to maximize the historic charm of the front elevation and create interiors that were contemporary and light filled.
A center stair enabled light to be brought deep inside the upper unit, while a new contemporary bay window allowed for ample light in bedrooms below.
A rooftop deck at the front of the upper unit allowed for sensitive retention of the existing cornicework of the historic façade while providing great views of the H Street Corridor nearby.
