light-filled addition with living area and colorful contemporary kitchen

Kitchen with light wood cabinets and teel subway tiles and floating shelves

These clients sought a contemporary addition to their existing masonry three-bedroom home in Bethesda, MD. The new addition is a twin of the existing home.

The renovation includes a new kitchen that is open to the family room. Plenty of storage was added via the designed casework in the living space.

The project also included a new primary suite and home office on the second level. Moroccan tiles were used in both the kitchen and primary bath. Light white oak cabinetry was selected for the kitchen, pantry, and family room.

Finally, a new screened porch was added to the side of the addition, allowing direct views to the back yard from the family room.

The end result is a significant improvement in functionality and livability, along with a bright design aesthetic that suits the homeowners' personalities.
